The Account Details tab
contains all the controls that affect income. Using
large, easy to see, spin-button controls, all the relevant factors, including
Interest, Tax and Inflation rates, can be readily adjusted, and their effect on the account balances
instantly seen in the dynamic dual chart display.
A unique feature is the Optimize function. This resets Expenditure to an amount which is sustainable for the given income, and then updates it to reflect adjustment to any other figure.

The Edit Original Budget tab
contains controls to create and edit a base budget. A hierarchical tree display is gradually built
up using expense categories, and sub-categories, as
branches. Usually this 'original' budget will be based
on current spending patterns.
Each category in the tree has an Essential Expenses checkbox
to its left - if this is checked then the current figure for this
expense category will be held constant when the Budget itself
is rescaled - on the Rescale Budget tab.

For Quicken® and Microsoft® Money users, the new Import Expenses facility offers a very quick shortcut to creating a budget. The controls on this tab allow you to import categories and annual expenses data from those applications, after creating a simple expenses report.
Step-by-step instructions on how to prepare the expense reports are provided in the help file.

On its own, the Scaling Slide
Control on the Rescale Budget
tab allows you to rescale the budget created in the Edit
Original Budget tab, and see the effect on individual
category amounts. But when the Synchronize function is active,
then rescaling
simultaneously affects both the budget category totals, and the
income-expenditure information shown in the dual chart display.
These charts then show the effect
of following this particular budget, with this particular
income, over a given period of years.

period: per year, per month, per week or even per day.
- Adjust column
indenting; Adjust row shading; plus many other formatting options.
