Click the arrowhead to reveal a list of the main world currencies - click
any one symbol to select it - or type in your own symbol. Whatever you type in will be placed in front of the currency values (or behind
if you change the order using the Order
of symbol, sign and value option).
For instance you could replace
the symbol $ with the letters USD. Most currencies have three letter
abbreviations (£ = GBP, € = EUR, ¥ = JPY), so even if a
particular symbol is not available on your computer, you can still
create a sequence of letters (5 max) to represent it. Note: Changing
the currency symbol does not cause the values to be converted
to the new currency.
Tip:If you want to use your typed-in symbol
as the program default don't forget to click the
Save as default button - at the foot
of the User Preferences form.
