Graphic Accounts is a dual purpose program:
- On the Accounts side of
the program, using two
notional accounts, it allows
you to quickly build a model of your current financial situation. Then, using
a graphical display
which represents
your finances over the longer term, you can experiment with factors such
as interest, tax and inflation rates, to see how each one affects
the
overall financial picture.
- On the Budget side you can build an original budget based on your
current pattern of expenditure, then use the rescaling tools to see the
effect on individual categories of reducing (or increasing) your overall
budget total.
These two sides
of the program can be powerfully combined (using the synchronize tool),
so you can examine the long term relationship between a particular pattern
of
spending (a test budget), and a particular set of assumptions about your
future financial situation.
